Microsoft it appears will soon start selling the Lumia 650 in India. The company’s official online store in India still shows the device’s listing as ‘Coming soon’, though third-party etailers have already listed the smartphone on Amazon India and eBay.
The smartphone is listed on eBay for Rs 15,800, though Amazon’s listing did not reveal the price of the device at the time of writing. Multiple reports, however, claim that the device was listed on Amazon India for Rs 16,599.
The Lumia 650 was originally unveiled in February. According to the company, the smartphone offers “the best of Microsoft productivity and security, all wrapped in a beautiful slim package.” It flaunts a rather familiar Lumia desi gn though the aluminum frame gives it a much more premium look.
The mid-range smartphone gets a 5-inch AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor bundled with 1 GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage expandable upto 200GB via microSD card, and a 2000 mAh battery. Going by these specifications, it appears that Microsoft’s unique Continuum feature (which turns the phone into a PC via a Display Dock) will not be available on the device.
In terms of optics, the Lumia 650 includes an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers dual-SIM support, 4G LTE capabilities, Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi.
Reports suggest the Lumia 650 might be the “last Lumia” that’ll be launched this year, as Microsoft is working on a mystery Surface Phone which might be announced later this year.
