Design and Display

The design of the Xiaomi 12 Pro is somewhat similar to the non-pro variant. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a large body and measures 163.6 x 74.6 x 8.16 mm. It weighs 204 gm and 205 gm. Xiaomi 12 Pro arrives in different color options like black, green, pink, and blue. It also features a punch-hole design to house a selfie camera on the front.

Xiaomi 12 Pro flaunts a large 6.73-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED LTPO display and a higher 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone also comes with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels, 20-9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 1500 nits brightness, 10bit color depth, 521 PPI density, etc. For biometrics, the smartphone features an in-display fingerprint scanner. 

Performance

As for the performance of the Xiaomi 12 Pro, The smartphone comes equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The 7th generation AI engine performs 5 times better in comparison with its previous iteration. Likewise, the device comes with a 30 % improvement on GPU in terms of graphics rendering and a 25% increment in energy efficiency. In terms of memory configuration, Xiaomi 12 Pro comes attached with up to 12GB LPPDR5 RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. 

On the software end, it runs on MIUI 13 based Android 12 Operating System. There is also an extra-large 2900 mm² VC liquid cooling system and 3 large heat dissipation graphite sheets. It comes with an enhanced cooling system than the Xiaomi 12.

Now moving on to the photography of the smartphone, Xiaomi 12 Pro also comes with a triple camera array same as its base variant Xiaomi 12. The camera is Led by a 50 MP Sony IMX707 primary camera with an f/1.9 aperture, a 50 MP Samsung S5KJN1 ultra-wide-angle lens along with a 115-degree FOV, and a 50 MP Samsung S5KJN1 telephoto lens with up to 2x optical zoom.

While on the front, the smartphone features a single 32MP Selfie camera on a punch-hole cutout. The phone charges via a USB Type-C 2.0 port.

Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with the price of 4,699 Yuan for the 8/128GB variant, 4,999 Yuan for the 8/256GB variant, and 5,399 Yuan for the higher 12/256GB variant in China. It will be available for sale in China starting January.
