WhatsApp has reportedly started to roll out a new beta update for iOS users. As per a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has submitted a new update through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 22.3.75. The report further mentions that the latest beta update comes with a reference to a new feature that will allow users to share media as their WhatApp status and with individual chats or Group in a single window. Currently, if you want to share a single media file on your status and with multiple chats, you have to do it separately.
According to the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, with the future updates, iOS users will be able to see a redesigned caption view with added functionality. The report suggests that users will be able to select the options where they want to share the media when they tap on the camera icon in a chat, Group or Status section. Users will also be able to see the selections under the Caption section. As the feature is under development, it is not yet known when the feature will be available.
WhatsApp is also reportedly working on a feature that will make it easier for you to manage multiple groups. As per a previous report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will show a new introduction page when the Communities feature will be first rolled out.
The screenshots reveal that the feature will allow you to add the Groups that you manage under one roof for easy access. Screenshots also suggest that you will be able to send a message to all your Groups at once. Similar hidden reference was also spotted on the beta update released for iOS smartphones a few weeks ago. For those who don’t know, the Facebook owned messaging platform has been working on a Community feature for a while.
