WhatsApp Group Admin Feature: WhatsApp plans to give more control to Group admins in future, here’s how – Rashtra News

Facebook-owned WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature called Communities. As reported by WaBetaInfo, the community will be a new place where group admins have more control over groups on WhatsApp, mainly to group other groups easily. The feature was spotted by the online platform in the latest beta version for WhatsApp, version 2.21.21.6.
WhatsApp Community is likely to be a new group chat function which will offer ‘private space’ between people via end-to-end encryption. Admins will be able to send messages in this group chat. They will also be able to group some groups related to the community. For example, a degree course can be considered a community, and all its teaching classes are groups included in this community.
As mentioned above, the upcoming feature will offer more control and power to the admins over WhatsApp groups. Group admins will be able to invite people to join the community via a “Community Invite Link”. The link can be shared privately or publicly.
If a user joins a community, he/she will not get automatic access to all groups of the community. As per the report, further options will be discovered in the future.

The community feature is under development on WhatsApp beta for Android and WhatsApp beta for iOS. There is no release timeline of the feature yet.
Meanwhile, the instant messaging app has started rolling out a multi-device feature. It will allow users to link their WhatsApp primary account running on Android/iOS phone to link with a secondary device. Also, one can send/receive messages on the secondary device without primary devicebeing connected to the internet.
