UPPSC PCS Main Exam 2022 Update: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has deferred the UPPSC PCS Main Combined USS Exam 2022 due to a rapid increase in the COVID-19 cases and the spread of the Omicron variant in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The UPPSC Combined State and Upper Subordinate Services Main exam were scheduled to be conducted from January 28, 2022 to January 31, 2022, which stands deferred now.

UPPSC PCS Main Combined USS Exam 2022 is now scheduled to be held from March 23, 2022, till March 27, 2022, with all COVID-19 protocols and social distancing norms, according to a notice by the commission.

The decision to defer the UPPSC PCS Main Exam 2022 after several of the candidates fearing COVID spread and transport inconvenience had called for the postponement of the UPPSC Combined State and Upper Subordinate Services Main exam by the commission.

A total of 7,688 candidates have cleared the UPPSC PCS Prelims 2022 exam which was held on October 24, 2021. A total of 6.91 lakh candidates applied for the exam.

Candidates who cleared the prelims result are qualified to appear in the UPPSC PCS Main Combined USS Exam 2022 for a total of 1,250 marks.

• General Hindi and Essay – 150 marks
• General Studies (4 papers – 200 marks each) – 800
• Optional Subject (2 papers – 150 marks each) – 300

The Admit Card for the UPPSC PCS Main Exam 2022 will be released in the month of March.
