In Goa, the party promised three free LPG cylinders to every household and home loans for ‘deserving families’ at 2% interest for women and 4% for men, if voted to power. It promised not to raise the state excise rate on diesel and petrol for the next three years.
The party has also promised to hike old age pension from the current Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 per month for senior citizens and announced free health checkups for them every year worth under Rs 4,000 under the ‘Atal Health Check up scheme’.
The party has promised that 33% of all future recruitments in the public sector would be reserved for women. Woman-only police stations would be established in every taluka.
To create more jobs, the Pramod Sawant government said it would restart mining within six months of coming to power. It would revamp the Chief Minister’s Apprenticeship Programme where a Rs 5,000 stipend has been announced. Similarly, the state would provide 100% EPF and EPS subsidies up to Rs 5,000 per month for entrepreneurs who employ local youth in their establishments. To give a boost to tourism, it would introduce a new ‘homestay scheme’ where locals would be given a Rs 5 lakh interest-free loan and training to provide home stay facilities.
