Prithvi Shaw may not need batting tips, considering the way he has been batting in IPL 2022 but the Delhi Capital star indeed needed tips to enjoy eating mangoes. To beat the heat in the summer, Delhi Capitals players were seen having mangoes after a training session when Prithvi Shaw learnt the hack.
The likes of Lalit Yadav and other domestic stars in the Delhi Capitals camp showed Prithvi Shaw how to have mangoes without cutting them. The players had to convince Shaw that it was a legitimate way to relish the fruit. Shaw looked mighty impressed when he managed to get a hang of the hack.
The mood in the Delhi Capitals camp has been upbeat as the former finalists managed to shake off a losing streak, beating Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. Delhi are at the 7th spot in the IPL 2022 points table with 2 wins and as many defeats from 4 matches. Delhi enoyed a 5-day break as they will face Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, April 16.
SHAW LEARNS NEW TRICK
Delhi will be confident facing Bangalore as Faf du Plessis’s men are heading into the contest on the back of a crushing defeat to Chennai Super Kings earlier this week.
Delhi will hope their opener Prithvi Shaw continues his fine run with the bat at the top along with his new opening partner David Warner. The Shaw-Warmer combine tore into the Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowling unit, stitching a 93-run stand in just 8.4 overs as Delhi posted 215 on the board before bowling out KKR for 171.
Shaw has scored 160 runs in 4 matches for Delhi Capitals, including 2 fifties. His contribution has come at a staggering strike rate of 170.21.
