Speaking ahead of the game, RCB star Harshal Patel said that playing against Gujarat would be a big challenge as their big names are all in form.
“They are a great opposition and they are all in good form. It is one thing to have great names in your team, but it’s one thing to have them perform like they are,” Harshal said.
“So it’s a great challenge for all of us and we’ll have particular plans against each one of them and we will try to execute them to the best of our abilities,” Harshal concluded.

RCB have been woefully out of touch in their recent fixtures and would be looking to make a turnaround if they wish to get back into the top four. They are already being put under pressure by Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals, and if RCB lose this fixture, they will be at risk of dropping further down the league table.
Speaking about the break ahead of the game, captain Faf du Plessis stated that this was something that they needed ahead of their day-game.
“It took some of the tension away, the disappointment of the night before, which is always really important, you know. You need to find ways to get over something and last night was a great occasion for that,” Faf concluded on the matter.
RCB will be taking on GT on Saturday, 30 April at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
