India Today has learned that the 49-year-old was rushed to the Woodlands Nursing Home as a precautionary measure after his RT-PCR test returned positive on Monday night. While the doctors are yet to ascertain whether he has contracted Omicron variant or not, Dada is reportedly in a stable condition.
“He was taken to Woodlands Nursing Home last night. He has been given medication and is currently stable,” a BCCI source was quoted by PTI as saying. Amid the updates on the BCCI chief’s health, cricket fans have taken to social media to wish the Indian legend a speedy recovery.

The BCCI supremo, who is double vaccinated, has been travelling extensively owing to his professional commitments. More recently, he was seen in the company of celebrities like Nusrat, Yash and Babul Supriyo amongst others during the premiere of Bangla superstar Dev’s latest film Tonic.
Also, this is the third time Ganguly has been hospitalised this year. Earlier this January, he also underwent a right coronary angioplasty following complaints of chest discomfort. Later that month, Ganguly once again complained of chest pain that, in turn, led to the second round of angioplasty that saw the placement of two stents in his arteries.
