Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Overview (Rumors)

The smartphone is the successor of the flagship Galaxy S21 ultra, which was launched earlier this year in Nepal. The smartphone will boast a massive display, a 120Hz refresh rate, flagship & powerful chipsets, huge battery prowess, and many more incredible features. 

Design and Display

Starting off with the design of the smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with a design that differs from its predecessor. It has been rumored that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will come with a similar flatter design as that of the Note series. It will also feature an S Pen inside it and will include most of the remaining features of the Note series. The device will have 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm dimensions. It will weigh around 228 gm. Likewise, the device will also have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. 

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will boast an enormous 6.81 inches QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display along with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a higher 120Hz refresh rate. It will also support an aspect ratio of 20-9, 516 PPI density, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and 1500 nits of peak brightness. The smartphone will have a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. 

Optical Department

As for the optical features of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the smartphone will flaunt a quad rear camera setup the same as its predecessor. It will include a 108 MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 12 MP Ultra Wide-angle Lens with f/2.2 aperture & 120° Field OF View (FOV), a 10 MP telephoto, and a 10 MP periscope telephoto camera. 

Whereas on the front, the smartphone will house an impressive 40 MP Selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture that snaps beautiful selfies. Now, talking about the videography aspect of the device, it will record videos up to [email protected], [email protected]/60fps, [email protected]/60/240fps, [email protected] at the rear, and up to [email protected]/60fps, [email protected] at the front.

Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will come equipped with powerful flagship chipsets like Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The chipsets will depend on the region. So, you won’t need to worry about the performance of the device. Compared to its predecessor, the SoCs will offer improved specs.

In terms of memory configuration, the phone will come with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and comes with 128GB/256GB/512GB of internal storage option. On the software front, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra runs on Android 12 with One UI 4.

It is rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will come fueled by a massive 5,000 mAh battery. The phone also will come with the support for 45W fast charging technology.
