New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party’s founder members Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav are likely to be evicted from the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) for anti-party activities.
According to sources, a formal announcement could be made soon. Reports suggested that AAP leaders met informally on February 27 to decide on the matter.
The information is coming out amid reports of a rift between Yadav-Bhushan faction with party chief Arvind Kejriwal.
A series of letter leaked to the media by party sources confirmed reports of the fallout between senior leaders. A day after AAP’s internal lokpal Admiral Ramdas questioned the validity of Kejriwal leading the party despite being the Delhi Chief Minister, a letter written by Prashant Bhushan has revealed that he was miffed over “person centric” election campaign.
He has also raised questions about selection of candidates for Delhi polls and surreptious attempts to seek support of the Congress after AAP’s first stint in government.
