NEW DELHI: OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has already confirmed that its next flagship smartphone — OnePlus 10 Pro will launch in January 2022. It appears that the smartphone maker is also planning to expand its audio devices portfolio along with the smartphones. A new online leak suggests that the company is planning to launch the OnePlus Buds Z2 true wireless earbuds early next year.
These are the same earbuds that OnePlus launched in China in October this year along with the OnePlus 9RT. The earbuds come with active noise cancellation and feature a 11mm driver unit.
OnePlus Buds Z2: Expected launch and price details
According to tipster Yogesh Brar(@heyitsyogesh), OnePlus Bud Z2 wireless earbuds are likely to launch in early 2022 in India. The leak also suggests that the company may price the earbuds at Rs 4,999. The device is said to initially come in Pearl White colour option and the company will later launch the Obsidian Black colour variant. This means the buds will compete with earbuds from Nothing, Oppo, Xiaomi and Realme which have similar-priced TWS earbuds.
OnePlus Buds Z2: Specifications
The OnePlus Buds Z2 features an 11mm dynamic driver unit and active noise cancellation functionality and promises to reduce noise up to 40dB. The company claims that the earbuds can deliver a latency rate of 94 milliseconds.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 features three microphones for active noise cancellation and for video calling. There’s transparency mode, which keeps the users aware of the surrounding noise. The true wireless earbuds come with IP55 rating which makes the device water-resistant.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 promises to deliver 38 hours of battery life with the charging case on a single charge. Without the charging case the earbuds can deliver up to 7 hours of music playback on a single charge.
