NEW DELHI: OnePlus has started rolling out an OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T smartphones. The latest OS update fixes various bugs and also brings along the security patch for the month of December 2021.
Various posts on the OnePlus Community Forum revealed the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and the OnePlus 7T Pro are receiving OxygenOS 11.0.5.1 update. The company has started rolling out the update in Europe and global markets for all OnePlus 7 series smartphones. The post also mentioned that presently the same update is being rolled out only for the OnePlus 7T series in India.
The latest OxygenOS update brings a fix for the issue where users were unable to send and receive media on WhatsApp. Along with this, the new update also promises to bring improved stability to all the four smartphones. The OnePlus 7 series smartphone users will also get the December 2021 Android security patch.
The company advises the users to backup their data before downloading the update. It is an OTA update but you can also manually check for it by going to Settings>System>System Updates.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau revealed that the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro will be launched on January 5. Lau made the announcement through his official Weibo account.
In a new post on Weibo, Pete Lau has revealed that the OnePlus 10 Pro will feature an LTPO 2.0 display. For those who don’t know, LTPO stands for low-temperature polycrystalline oxide and it is a special type of OLED panel. This technology allows the display to have a flexible refresh range up to 120Hz. It also consumes less power as compared to LTPS OLED displays.
