“This response is beyond our expectations and given our production plans in the coming months, today will be the last day for consumers to purchase their scooters. Those who have already reserved can purchase until midnight tonight at which point, the purchase window will close. So I encourage you to book yours today and lock in this introductory price!” Aggarwal said on the company’s website.
Ola’s electric scooter
was made available on Wednesday for customers who had pre-booked its S1 and S1 Pro models. It faced technical issues last week because of which it postponed the sale process by a week.
The scooters can be purchased through the Ola app. The company is carrying out the purchase in batches and prioritising users based on their dates of reservation, according to its website.

A customer can choose from a range of colourways and trims.
The S1 can be bought for Rs 99,999 while the S1 Pro can be bought for Rs 1,29,999. Deliveries are likely to begin from October.
Ola Electric is manufacturing its scooters at a 500-acre site in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The factory is expected to have an annual capacity of 10 million vehicles.
Earlier this week, Aggarwal said Ola’s electric scooter plant or “Futurefactory”
will be run entirely by women.
