The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2021 results will be declared soon, media reports say, but there’s no official word on the same yet. The National Training Agency (NTA) will declare the results on the official website neet.nta.nic.in after releasing the answer key and considering the objections. Last year, the NTA had declared the NEET result within a month of conducting the exam. The results for this year can be expected soon. The NTA will also release the all India rank along with the NEET 2021 UG result.
The NEET 2021 paper consisted of 180 multiple-choice questions. The questions were based on Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) in which 45 MCQ had equal weightage in Physics and Chemistry section whereas there were 90 questions in the Biology section. The exam was worth 720 marks. While four marks will be awarded for every correct answer, one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The NTA has removed the criterion to see older age as tie-breaking.
According to sources, the NTA will release the answer key of NEET-UG 2021 before declaring the result. The NTA will release the scanned copy of the question paper and NEET OMR sheet of all the candidates who had appeared for the examination. If any candidate wants to raise any objection to the answer key he/she can register it on the website
Besides, for the first time this year, the NEET applications have been divided into two phases. The second or final stage will also start before the declaration of the NEET-UG result. NTA is yet to update the students on the NEET Phase-2 registration date. If candidates fail to complete the formalities for Phase-2 registration of NEET 2021, the candidature will be cancelled and the NEET result of the candidate will not be declared.
