NEW DELHI: Foreign secretary Harsh Shringla discussed with visiting German state secretary of the ministry for economic cooperation and development Jochen Flasbarth the agenda for the upcoming inter-governmental consultations as well as the G-7 meetings. Flasbarth tweeted sustainable development, climate and energy transition are top priorities for both governments.
PM Modi will travel to Germany on May 1 for a summit with Chancellor Olaf Scholz. He is also expected to attend the G-7 summit in June that will be hosted by Germany.
At a media briefing, Flasbarth said Germany is looking for a broader green and sustainable development partnership with India. The agreement covers a broader range of subjects related to sustainable development goals, he said.
