Over 60% of India’s adults are now fully vaccinated with two doses of anti-Covid jabs, whereas nearly 89% have received at least first dose. A total of over 140 crore doses have been administered across the country since the vaccination programme was launched on January 16. In the wake of increasing cases of Omicron, the Centre has also advised states going in for elections in the near future to exponentially ramp up vaccination, especially in the low coverage districts.
