Microsoft has started to roll out a new update for Windows 10 operating system with a long list of features and improvements. As per a report by WindowsLatest, the April 2022 patch is based on the original version 2004 of the operating system. This means that the update can be installed on all the Windows 11 versions released after version 2004. However, it is worth noting that the build revision number would be different for the versions.
With the update, Microsoft is adding the search highlights feature to Windows 10. The feature will show the trending topics on Bing, facts related to the day and content related to the user’s interest in the Windows Search homepage. The company is also adding a new way to change the colour of buttons that appear within notifications toast. The feature makes notifications more visually compact. You can now also expand an app’s top three notifications by default in the Action Centre.
Apart from this, the update fixes an issue preventing Android devices from signing in to some Microsoft apps, such as Microsoft Outlook and Teams. The tech giant has also fixed an issue that prevents the User Account Control (UAC) dialog from detecting apps that require the privilege.
