Various organisations including All India Insurance Employees’ Association (AIIEA), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Trade Union staged a protest in Chennai on March 05. They agitated against the proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO) in Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). “Government is doing this to benefit some private players. We will continue to protest against it,” added DMK Spokesperson TKS Elangovan.
