The Karnataka government’s Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) has announced the revised timetable for the second-year pre-university exams on its official website, pue.kar.nic.in. The exam will be held in two shifts beginning from December 9, 2021, according to the new timetable. The morning shift will be from 9 a.m. to 12.15 p.m., and the afternoon shift will be from 2 p.m. to 5.15 p.m., respectively.
After various student organisations, parents, and stakeholders protested across the state, the DPUE was forced to finally postpone midterm examinations to December.

The exams were earlier planned to take place between November 29 and December 16. However, the DPUE Director Snehal R told The Indian Express that numerous colleges in Mangaluru were not following the prescribed syllabus for the exams, and the department has been informed of this.
