Google Play Pass is now available to Android users in India. The subscription service provides access to multiple apps and games without ads, in-app purchases, and upfront payments.
Google Play Pass subscription in India will cost Rs 99 per month. Annual subscription, on the other hand, will cost Rs 889. As announced by Google, users can start with a one-month trial and subscribe to either of the plans. They can also avail a prepaid one-month subscription for Rs 109. Users can also share their Play Pass subscription with up to five other family members with Google family group.
Play Pass will offer Indian developers of all types of apps and games a new avenue to expand their global user base and unlock new revenue streams. It will start rolling out to Android users this week.
Here’s how to begin Play Pass trial
Once Play Pass is available this week, users can start their trial by simply opening the Play Store app on their Android device and tapping the profile icon at the top right. Here, look for “Play Pass”. Subscribers can access the collection of apps and games through the Play Pass tab or by looking for the Play Pass “ticket” when browsing titles on the Play Store.
Play Pass subscription service is currently available in 90 countries. It offers a curated collection of 1000+ titles across 41 categories from developers across 59 countries including many from India. Play Pass collection includes a range of exciting titles, from games that help unwind – be it sports, puzzles, or action games – to apps that power productivity. Users will find well-known games like Jungle Adventures, World Cricket Battle 2, and Monument Valley, helpful apps like Utter, Unit Converter and AudioLab, as well as hidden gems such as Photo Studio Pro, Kingdom Rush Frontiers TD, and many more.
