12 december 2014 Crime Branch has arrested one highway robber namely Deen Mohammad @ Deenu (44 Yrs) s/o Sodan @ Tutti Pehalwan r/o Village-Bainsi, Distt.- Mewat, Haryana. He was declared Proclaimed offender in several cases of robberies in, Haryana and Rajasthan.
On Wednessday, a secret information was received that one armed desperate criminal namelyDeen Mohammad @ Deenu r/o Mewat region, who is evading trial for the last 14years, would come in Delhi to commit some crime. On this, a team led by ACP KPS Malhotra and consisting of Insp. P C Yadav, SIs Sanjeev Yadav, Aash Mohammad, Cts.Salimuddin, Jai Parkash, Anil, Jasbir, Jitender, Pardeep, Sandeep & Sudhirunder the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh was constituted. The team laid a trap at Ring Road in front of Vidyut Vihar, IPGCL Colony, Delhi and apprehended Deen Mohammad @ Deenu. A country made pistolalong with three live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Accused Deen Mohammad @ Deenu (44 yrs.) was born in village Bainsi of Distt. Mewat, Haryana and he started his criminal activities by committing thefts and highway robberies.
In the year 1993, he along with his brother Ismail and associates Roshan and JaiSingh robbed a truck from Ballabhgarh. A police patrol signaled them to stopthe truck but they did not stop. The police staff chased the truck but Jai Singh opened fire at the police and injured one ASI. Police officials also retaliated in which Ismail received bullet injury, who died on the spot. All the desperados except accused Deen Mohammad were apprehended on the spot. Acase vide FIR No. 422/93 u/s 395/307/ 186/353 IPC was registered at PS Ballabhgarh City in this regard. Accused Deenu was arrested in said case subsequently.With the arrest of accused, 23 cases of highway robberies were worked out.Accused was released from jail in the year 1996. In the year 1998,he alongwith his associate Roshan robbed a Post office at Bhiwadi, Rajasthanand he was arrested in the case at PS Phool Bagh Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.
In the year 1999, he along with his associates Roshan and Shamim were arrested for car jacking by Rajasthan police vide FIR No.83/99 u/s 394/411/34 IPC, PST apukara, Rajasthan.
Inthe year 2001, when he along with his associate Roshan, and five other accusedpersons were being taken back to Kishan Garh jail by the police in apolice van, after production in the Court, they attacked the police party andmanaged to escape. A case vide FIR No. 204/01 u/s 307 IPC was registeredagainst them at PS Tijara, Rajasthan. Accused was arrested in the said case at the later stage.
Prior to this in the year 2000, hemanaged to get a passport in his name giving all other particulars includingthe name of father, mother, spouse and address of his brother-in-law, who wasalso incidentally named as Deen Mohammad. After coming out of jail in the year2001, he got the visa for Saudi Arabia for two years and left for Saudi Arabia using forged passport. He remained there for about 2 years and after the expiry of visa, he came back toIndia. Then he got visa for Dubai for 3 years and went to Dubai. His passport was expiring in 2010 but he got the passport renewed from Indian Embassy inDubai for further one year with the condition that further renewal of passportwill be done from RPO, Ghaziabad. He remained there till 2011 and made a goodfortune with his partner as a transporter. In 2011, he had to come back as hispassport expired. However, he could not get his passport renewed for the wantof his identity proof.
He never appeared inthe court in any of the cases after 2001. He made efforts to get him declared dead and to get all the cases against him abated but there was no document to prove his death therefore he was declared PO in three criminal cases and in two cases standing warrants were issued against him by the Courts which are still valid. He always carries arms with him and got prepared a forged ID card of Rajasthan police showing himself as sub inspector of Rajasthan police so as to produce the same in case of checking.
Accused has beenarrested under relevant sections of law. Concerned police stations have beeninformed accordingly
