24 July 2016, New Delhi.A dancing and singing competition “Delhi Dance Art 2” was organised by Om Dance Academy at Yamuna Public School, Sonia Vihar. About 100 contestants participated under senior, junior, solo and duet categories. The participants were mainly those who although posses a lot of talent but have never received any platform to show their talent. Director of Academy told that there is a big section of the society which has dormant skills and hence has not not been recognised yet and to bring out hidden potentials of such people these events are really necessary. With the vision of women empowerment, there was a special performance “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”.
The judges also praised all the performances and said as the performances were all excellent, despite they were not professionals or trained and it was really difficult and took a lot of time to make the decision.
Mayor of Nagar Nigam East Delhi Mrs. Satya Sharma, Principal of Yamuna Public School Mr. Murari, Principal of JPS Convent Mr. Surrender Sahu, Bobby Thakur from Hamara Sankalp Samiti attended the event as a guest of honour with their gracious presence. They appreciated the efforts made in recognizing that these people also have huge talent and they should be given more opportunities and exposures so that they can also progress and grow.
Around 400 audiences enjoyed and appraised this event a lot.
