Financial services firm Avendus has roped in Gaurav Sood to lead its foray into equity capital markets domain.

Sood has worked in the Indian capital markets for close to two decades and has executed key marquee transactions, according to a release issued by the company. “He has overseen some of India’s largest and differentiated IPOs, marquee secondary market blocks, OFS transactions, QIPs and follow ons,” the release stated.

He was co-heading the ECM (equity capital market) business at ICICI Securities prior to joining Avendus and has also worked with institutions like Kotak Securities, ICICI Bank and Morgan Stanley, according to the release.

“I look forward to working with the team, leveraging its leadership position and strong relationships in private capital markets to build a leading Equity Capital Markets franchise,” Sood said, according to the release.
