Working in Hollywood is not the only claim to international fame for AR Rahman.
National Award-winning composer Rahman is now recording music with Palestinian musical group Le Trio Joubran for an upcoming film of Iranian director Majid Majidi.
Rahman, 48, took to Facebook to share the news with his fans. He posted a picture of himself with the musical trio and Majidi in the studio.
“Recording in Paris with Le Trio Joubran for Majid Majidi’s next,” Rahman captioned the photo.
The group, which consists of the brothers Samir, Wissam, and Adnan Joubran, also posted the same picture on Facebook.
“Awesome collaboration with AR Rahman for Majid Majidi’s next – with Wissam Joubran, AR Rahman, Majid Majidi, Le Trio Joubran and Adnan Joubran in Paris, France,” the group wrote.
Rahman has composed music for a host of foreign movies like China’s Warriors of Heaven and Earth, Oscar-winner Slumdog Millionaire and British-American film 127 Hours, among others.
Majidi is known for directing internationally acclaimed films like Children of Heaven, The Color of Paradise and Baran.
