New Delhi: Ajinkya Rahane has been appointed as the captain of the Indian squad for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour, the BCCI confirmed on Monday.
The All-India Senior Selection Committee of the BCCI decided to rest senior players Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin and Suresh Raina.
India is scheduled to play three ODIs and two T20 Internationals against the African nation starting from 10 July 2015.
Meanwhile, veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh has been recalled back to the national squad for the limited over format.
